Job summary

Hicks Family Nissan in Robstown, TX is seeking a Parts Sales Associate to oversee the parts sales process from start to finish, stock freight, manage inventory, and communicate with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and prior auto parts sales experience, strong interpersonal and math skills, and a valid driver’s license. You will quote prices, verify estimates, handle payments, and support both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to calculate figures including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Valid driver’s license for 2 years with clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Receives and stock freight.
• Inventory control management.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Converse effectively regarding customer parts status.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers.
• Review body shop estimates to verify parts accuracy and pricing.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
• Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks for stock accuracy.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or urgent needs.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders if necessary.
• Make sure internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.

Qualifications
