Job summary

Hicks Family Nissan in Robstown, TX is seeking a Parts Sales Associate to oversee the parts sales process from start to finish and manage inventory from freight receipt to stocking. You will communicate with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner and handle price quotes, orders, and payments.

The role requires a High School diploma (or equivalent) with auto parts sales experience preferred, strong interpersonal and time management skills, and the ability to read maintenance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with prior auto parts sales experience preferred.
• Dynamic work environment requires adaptability and eagerness to improve.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to calculate figures including discounts, commissions, and proportions.
• Valid driver’s license for 2 years with clean driving record.
• Must pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Receive and stock freight.
• Inventory control management.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Converse effectively regarding customer parts status.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers.
• Review shop estimates to verify parts and pricing.
• Provide high level service to both internal and external customers.
• Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure stock accuracy.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or urgent needs.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders if necessary.
• Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.

• Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and prior auto parts sales experience (preferred)
• Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills
• Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents
• Ability to calculate figures/amounts including; discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, %, area, circumference, and volume
• Valid driver's license for 2 years and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
