Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring permanent full-time Skilled and Semi-Skilled Construction Laborers to ensure expert craftsmanship at our warehouse manufacturing facility in Dallas, Texas.

Warehouse, Manufacturing, and Construction positions pay weekly.

• Hourly Pay: $16.00 per hour during training
• Additional Pay: $0.52 piece rate after training completion
• Schedule: First Shift Friday - Sunday 4:00 am - 2:30 pm; Second Shift Monday 4:00 pm - 2:30 am

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 0-1 year in carpentry or construction preferred
• Ability to understand basic math
• Ability to operate power tools safely
• Follow repair processes
• Physical ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach, and crouch frequently
• Lift at least 75 lbs using proper techniques
• Stand and walk for extended periods (at least 2 hours, four times a day)
• Use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements

Responsibilities

• Safely repair pallets meeting company standards and safety protocols
• Operate pry bar, hammer, grinder, saw, and nail gun
• Lift pallets weighing up to 70 lbs from stacks
• Ensure pallets pass CHEP's quality control
• Maintain a clean work area
• Promote safety and comply with OSHA standards
• Wear all safety equipment during pallet repairs
• Perform additional duties as required
