Job summary

Checker Distributors is seeking a Warehouse Packer for the day shift in Maumee, OH. You will join a fast-paced, organized warehouse that ships orders the same day, using scanners, pallet jacks and conveyors while maintaining accuracy and a clean, safe work area.

The starting pay is $18.25 per hour with annual reviews and typical increases; with solid performance you can grow to $22 to $25 per hour after training in equipment positions.

Qualifications

• Ability to frequently lift and move packages up to 70 lbs.
• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or loading experience is preferred but not required.
• Stand/walk/bend/reach throughout the shift; maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pack customers’ orders to ensure they are not damaged during shipping.
• Achieve set productivity standards on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Affixes appropriate labels and packing lists.
• Prepares appropriate shipping documents.
• Ensure damaged merchandise is handled through proper procedures.
• Remove completed orders by placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in designated areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and adhere to company policies and procedures, including safe operation of equipment and general housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay & Growth

• Starting pay: $18.25 per hour
• Annual performance reviews with typical increases of 3% or more (some receive 4–5%)
• With solid performance, team members can grow to $22 or up to $25 per hour if trained in positions that operate equipment

Day-Shift Schedules (Monday–Friday)

• Warehouse Packer – 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (1-hour lunch)

Overtime may be required based on business needs.
