Job summary

Performance Food Group is hosting a warehouse selector position at our Manassas, VA facility. You will pick, move, and stage products from multi-level rack storage, using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, supporting timely orders for customers.

The role requires physical work in dry, cooler, and freezer environments, EPJ certification within training, and adherence to safety practices. Shift times are Sunday through Thursday, with a start time in the afternoon.

Qualifications

• Ability to work scheduled/assigned shifts, including required overtime.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift 10-35 lbs. regularly and up to 60-100 lbs. (location dependent)
• Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer)
• Ability to pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check
• Ability to become EPJ certified within the new-hire training period
• Ability to complete required training independently

Responsibilities

• Reviews work schedule, obtains supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Performs safety check on pallet jack / forklift to be used and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning properly.
• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Places pallets on pallet jack and operates along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
• Manually places the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required.
• Transports completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area.
• Removes batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
• At the end of the shift, secures all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
