At Imperial, we sell, distribute, and service General Merchandise, Seasonal Products, and Health/Beauty/Wellness Products to our customers. As a Selector, you will be responsible for selecting and picking products from our pick lines (located on 3 levels) to fill customer orders by matching orders and UPC codes, both manually and using a voice system (Lydia).

Essential Responsibilities and Duties Include:

• Read orders and numerical codes to determine items to be picked.
• Place items in totes, banding like items where appropriate.
• Notify line starter and stocker of any shortages.
• Push totes down rollers to next order selector.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Confirm orders upon completion by entering information into the computer database and/or using the voice system (Lydia).
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Maintain general housekeeping of the work area.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills – able to log in, use a password, and follow simple instructions.
• Warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
• Ability to speak and understand simple English.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10s and 100s.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, and reach with arms.
• Occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
• Regularly handle items weighing up to 2 pounds, lift/move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment:

• Work near moving mechanical parts (rollers).
• Moderate noise level.
• Warm environment during summer months.
