Job description

Join to apply for the Warehouse Order Selector role at UNFI.

Full-time hourly position.
Shift: Friday-Monday, 11am start.

Role Overview

As part of the Order Selection Team, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This involves strategic thinking, attention to detail, palletizing orders, and operating motorized equipment like Electric Pallet Jacks safely. Our team values collaboration, perseverance, and making a difference.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned equipment for safety issues.
• Identify correct pick locations and sequences according to the order.
• Shrink wrap and label pallets with accurate information.
• Stage pallets appropriately throughout the warehouse.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate out-of-stocks promptly.
• Report safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
• Operate pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Build stable, well-cubed pallets.
• Park and recharge equipment at shift end.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of safety guidelines.
• Warehouse/Operations experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet minimum picking rates.
• Follow all procedures and instructions accurately.
• Understand warehouse processes broadly.
• Use good judgment, especially without immediate supervision.

Work Environment

This role is onsite at one of our UNFI locations, such as a distribution center.

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend, and twist frequently.
• Work in temperatures ranging from -20°F to 90°F depending on the operation.
• Perform repetitive arm and hand movements.
• Work with hands overhead and operate equipment as needed.
• Maintain good vision and balance for various tasks.
