Job summary

US Foods operates a warehouse team in Manassas, VA, seeking team members to accurately pick and palletize customer orders. The role involves seasonal shifts and safety-focused operation of equipment.

Candidates should be able to work Sunday–Thursday with night starts and meet physical requirements; training pay starts at $23.42/hr, rising to $26.02/hr as productivity increases, with potential to reach $37/hr in the first year.

Qualifications

• Able to read and communicate in English for trainings, coaching, labels and reports.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, Sundays to Thursdays, with some weekends/holidays.
• Experience in high endurance or physical activity in past 6 months is preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or DC is preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders and build/wrap pallets.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets as directed by order selecting software.
• Validate correct product, undamaged condition, and deliver to the correct dock.
• Team to clear aisles, return pallets, and manage pallet jacks.

Location: 11994 Livingston Road, Manassas, VA 20109

Days: Sunday - Thursday

Hours: Sunday - 5pm start time, Monday - Thursday - 5:30pm start time - until workload is completed.

Starting Rate: $23.42/hr while training (increased to $26.02/hr with 100% productivity with the ability ability to earn up to $37/hr within the 1st year based on performance)

Main Ingredients of the Job

• - Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• - Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• - Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• - Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• - Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• - Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• - Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• - Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• - Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• - Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• - Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• - Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• - Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $26.02 and $29.51.

As applicable, this role may alsoreceive overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, shift differential.
