Job summary

Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center is seeking a dedicated warehouse associate to support daily operations in a fast-paced environment. You will move merchandise from bins, build pallets, and deliver orders to the shipping clerk while upholding our Customer 1st standard.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18, and able to pass a drug test. Weekend shifts, overtime, and forklift operation are required to meet distribution goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus one year of general work experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends, work any shift, and overtime.
• Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects.
• Familiarity with distribution center terms and processes.
• Ability to operate a forklift, and pallet jack.
• Lift truck certification/license.
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
• Six months warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Obtain merchandise from bins/shelves as instructed on voice activated unit
• Build palletsSort merchandise
• Deliver orders to shipping clerk for shipment
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
