Job description

Tends to duties for shipping and receiving including but not limited to staging packing containers, inspecting product, and traffic coordination. Backup for this position will be Warehouse Lead.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a valid forklift license.
  • Perform Forklift inspections.
  • Inspect trailers & properly document.
  • Properly load & unload trailers.
  • Safely bale recyclable materials & load onto trailer.
  • Ability to prepare for inventory.
  • Trial material procedures.
  • Ability to safely move and stack finished materials in locations.
  • Adheres to FIFO.
  • Actively participates in Safety, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Autonomous Maintenance (AM) initiatives based on plant goals and requirements.
  • Ability to use barcoding system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Ability to read ruler and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    • Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Frequently standing, walking and sitting.
    • Frequently required the use of hands to finger, feel, reach or handle machinery.
    • Frequently bend, stoop and reach.
    • Visual Acuity (VA).

    • Moderate working conditions.
    • Exposure to variable noise levels.
    • Often exposed to moving mechanical parts.
