Job Overview

The Forklift Operator II is responsible for completing material movement throughout the facility and grounds by moving, loading, and unloading assets using a variety of material handling equipment, such as a forklift and pallet jack.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull specific vending and cold drink equipment to fulfill sales requests.
• Ensure all outbound loads are secured and safe, applying protective wrapping as needed, and attach proper documentation (STO).
• Load and unload trailers to support delivery activities, following SOPs, and update SAP, CONA via handhelds for accountability.
• Perform safety and housekeeping activities, including pre-and post-trip checks, reviewing documentation, and maintaining a tidy work area.
• Assist with staging equipment, yard maintenance, and miscellaneous activities as directed.
• Utilize a switcher to maneuver 53’ and pup trailers to the dock as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Knowledge of basic safety principles and proper lifting techniques.
• Advanced forklift skills (single-wide) for safe operation in confined spaces.
• Basic pallet-jack skills and rudimentary mechanical skills.
• Ability to operate multiple simple machines and follow SOPs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple processes efficiently.
• Ability to work in high/low temperatures, noisy conditions, and handle physical demands.

Minimum Qualifications

• Forklift and pallet jack certification.
• Switcher operation certification.
• Class A CDL if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in logistics environment.
• Understanding of truck and trailer loading strategies and weight distribution.

Work Environment

Noisy, non-temperature-controlled environment, including high and low temperatures.
