BD is a major global medical technology company located in Durham, NC. The Warehouse Operator will safely transport raw materials, components, and finished goods using material handling equipment to support production and shipping operations.

Responsibilities include moving materials across warehouse areas, maintaining inventory records, and adhering to safety and quality standards while leveraging SAP systems and inventory controls.

Formación

• Forklift and reach truck experience required.
• Ability to obtain licenses/training as needed.
• Willingness to work extended hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, power trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products throughout the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Ensure timely and accurate material flow to support production and customer needs.
• Maintain inventory and transaction records while ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Track KPIs and support monitoring of performance metrics.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams for seamless operations.

Job Description

Join our team and play a vital role in keeping materials and products moving efficiently throughout our operation. As a Warehouse Operator, you will support day-to-day warehouse and production activities by safely transporting raw materials, components, and finished goods using a variety of material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, power trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products throughout the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Ensure timely and accurate material flow to support production and customer needs.
• Maintain inventory and transaction records while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Track operational metrics and support the creation and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.

Schedule

2:00 pm - 10:30 pm - Monday through Friday (Evening Shift)

Required Qualifications

• Forklift, Reach Truck experience
• Ability to obtain appropriate licenses/training/certifications as needed
• Be available to work extended hours including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma

Knowledge And Skills

• Ability to lift 50 pounds without restrictions required
• SAP applications
• Warehouse, Inventory Management Systems and Inventory Control Systems analytics and methods
• Lean Methodology knowledge preferred
• Ability to understand instructions
• Ability to clearly communicate verbally, writing and reading in English
• Ability to apply experience to complete assignments and to facilitate the work activities of others
• Ability to interact professionally with management team
