Job summary

Becton Dickinson in Durham, NC is seeking a Warehouse Operator/Material Handler to move materials, parts, and finished goods within the plant and warehouse. You will operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes and support KPI data records and inventory control tasks.

The role requires forklift/reach truck experience, SAP proficiency, and the ability to read instructions and communicate in English. Availability for extended hours including weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred
• Appropriate licenses/training/certifications as needed required
• Forklift, Reach Truck experience required
• SAP applications
• Warehouse, Inventory Management Systems and Inventory Control Systems analytics and methods
• Lean Methodology knowledge preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds without restrictions required
• Ability to understand instructions
• Ability to clearly communicate verbally, writing and reading in English
• Ability to apply experience to complete assignments and to facilitate the work activities of others
• Ability to interact professionally with management team
• Be available to work extended hours including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products within a plant, office or warehouse using equipment like forklifts, conveyors, cranes and power trucks
• May maintain data records and create KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
• Work a 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm evening shift, Monday through Friday
• Support inventory management and warehouse analytics as needed

2:00 pm - 10:30 pm - Monday through Friday (Evening Shift)
