Axalta is seeking an entry-level warehouse associate in Michigan with opportunities for significant career growth based on experience, attention to detail, and initiative. The role involves order picking, packing, RF scanning, and palletizing, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Typical hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime. Candidate should have up to 2 years in shipping/receiving/warehousing, knowledge of DOT shipping basics, and ability to operate

Responsabilidades

• Maintain good attendance and safety compliance (PPE rules).
• Operate electric pallet jacks safely.
• Perform order picking, stacking, and palletizing.
• Use RF scan gun to pick orders and complete paperwork.
• Shrink wrap pallets for shipping using wrapping machine.
• Audit shipment orders and cycle-count inventory.
• Keep work area organized and clean.
• Assist boxing finished goods as needed.
• Meet 7:00am–3:30pm Mon–Fri schedule; overtime may be available.

This role is an entry level position with opportunity for significant career growth based on warehouse experience, attention to detail, skills displayed and initiative.Preferred experience: 2 years in a shipping, receiving and/or warehousing environment with practical knowledge of shipping practices and procedures.Consideration given to experience of the the following:Understanding of D.O.T. shipping regulationsPrevious certification of powered industrial trucks (forklift, powered pallet jacks, etc.)Order picking/fulfillment, stacking different sizes on a palletThis position would be responsible for performing the following functions.Maintain good work attendance record.Adhere to all safety rules, regulations and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies as set by the company, including reporting hazards, incidents, or accidents.Being able to operate electric pallet jacks in the safest manner.Maintaining good communication skills both verbally and written.Order picking (picking, stacking & palletizing boxes for secure pallet loads).Use of electronic RF scan gun technology, reading & completing order paperwork to pick orders.Use of an automated wrapping machine to shrink wrap pallets for shipping.Accurately audit shipment orders and cycle count warehouse inventory.Keeping the assigned work area organized and cleaned.Assist with boxing of finished goods or tasks as assigned by management as needed.Work hours are generally 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday. Saturdays and overtime are available depending on the workload and skill levels.While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear in an industrial environment. Frequent climbing, walking, kneeling, reaching, and standing in indoor and outdoor industrial environments. Occasional exposure to weather, wet/humid environment, and noise. The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.Tobacco is restricted to a designated area.Due to safety policies, ALL electronic devices, INCLUDING cellphones, are restricted to designated break areas only and are not allowed in the work area.
