Our client, a well-established local business specialising in storage and luxury retail fit-out solutions, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative and Delivery Driver to join their team based in Hoo.

As a Warehouse Operative and Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Warehouse Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include picking and preparing goods for delivery, assisting with loading and unloading, maintaining high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security, and keeping the work environment clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:

1. Pick and prepare goods for timely delivery to Central London
2. Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, checking for discrepancies and reporting issues
3. Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
4. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of buildings, vehicles, and equipment
5. Carry out planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment
6. Assist with repair or restoration of items as per client requirements
7. Help update and maintain the client asset register

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in warehousing procedures and ability to handle a demanding workload
• Proficiency in IT applications for managing information
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexibility to work out-of-hours with paid overtime
• Full clean driving licence (essential) and own transport (desirable)
• Forklift licence (essential)
• Confidence in manual handling of heavy objects
• Knowledge of driving/delivering in Central London
