Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a 24-month temporary contract at the UK Logistics Centre in Daventry. The role includes receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods, with regular weekend overtime and a shift pattern that includes afternoon hours. Salary is stated as £24,187.50 per year with an afternoon shift premium.

Full training will be provided. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations using warehousing tools, systems and methodologies.
• Ability to receive, pick, pack and ship a variation of Cummins product.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Works well within a team and across several business unit teams.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse.
• Receive incoming goods, check for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.
• Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimise warehouse space.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
• Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures and regulations.
• Follow all applicable standard work, work instruction/process documentation and established quality procedures.
• Remain flexible and perform other miscellaneous duties as required to meet business goals.

Warehouse Operative

This is a 24‑month temporary contract with the opportunity to transfer onto a permanent contract.

Salary: £24,187.50 (£12.40ph) plus shift premium for working the afternoon shift.

Working hours: 37.5 hrs per week, Monday – Friday, with regular weekend overtime available, subject to business needs.

Shift patterns:
Days: 6:45am – 2:45pm
Afternoons: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
