Job summary

CSS is seeking a Supervisor - Operations to oversee multiple warehouse functions including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and related activities in Alsip, IL. You will train and coach staff, manage direct reports, ensure safety and quality, and develop processes to meet customer requirements.

The role reports to a Manager or Senior Manager Operations and requires hands-on leadership, scheduling (Mon-Fri, 2:00pm-10:30pm with flexibility), and a focus on continuous improvement in inventory

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 3 years warehouse/distribution operations experience.
• 1 year leading warehouse associates.
• Ability to operate forklift or obtain certification.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control processes.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and detail orientation.
• Basic computer skills; ability to learn planning systems.
• Ability to work in a team and handle stress.
• Comfort with tools and equipment used in warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee work assignments to meet inbound/outbound service requirements.
• Direct achievement of performance objectives for productivity, quality, service and safety.
• Monitor workflow, progress, error rates, and take corrective action.
• Ensure procedures are observed, implemented, and enforced.
• Confirm quality and inspection processes and control costs.
• Maintain safe working environment and follow safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate time, attendance, and performance records.
• Develop and document warehouse processes; establish performance standards.
• Lead training programs and certification for warehouse staff.
