Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for its Grand Prairie, TX Presort facility. The role oversees production staff on a third shift (Tue-Sat, 12:00 AM–9:00 AM) and ensures postal deadlines and quality standards are met.

Salary range is $60,000–$65,000 plus a 6% field bonus, with flexible vacation details. You will lead daily operations, handle staffing, training, appraisals, and disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with USPS rules and internal costing reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year supervisory experience in USPS-related environments (presort/mailroom).
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to stand/walk 80% of the time.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and/or MS Access; basic MS Word, internet and email familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Organize mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes and mail types.
• Oversee the production workers on the designated shift and manage interviewing, hiring, training, appraising, rewarding, and disciplining staff.
• Ensure quality throughout the production area and maintain Total Quality Management procedures.
• Assist Operations Manager with USPS and internal reports, job costing, and USPS regulations.
• Suggest improvements to equipment use, working conditions, and employee motivation.

Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable lawsOversee quality function throughout the production area. Assure TQM (Total Quality Management) processes and procedures are followed at all timesAssist Operations Manager in completing required USPS and internal reports, job costing reports and application of all USPS postal regulations.
