Job summary

Pitney Bowes Presort Services in Grand Prairie, TX seeks a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for 2nd shift to lead production crews and ensure USPS/compliance standards. You will manage staffing, train and appraise performance, and drive quality and efficiency on the floor.

Ideal candidates have at least one year supervisory experience in a mailing environment, proficiency with MS Excel/Access, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Weekend or overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year supervisory experience in a USPS-related or mailing environment.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access; familiarity with MS Word, internet and email.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing/walking duties.
• Flexibility to work Monday–Friday, 2nd shift with possible weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production workers on the assigned shift and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Interview, hire, train, and appraise team members; manage performance and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to Total Quality Management (TQM) processes on the floor.
• Assist Operations Manager with USPS regulations, reporting, and cross-shift communication.

Your career with Pitney Bowes will help you be an integral part of the operation that will support not only your career development but our business’ continued growth. **You Will:** Under direction from the Operations Manager or Assistant Operations Manager, organizes the mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes and type of mail based on current staffing levels to meet postal deadlines. * Responsible for overseeing the production workers on designated shift. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws* Oversee quality function throughout the production area. Assure TQM (Total Quality Management) processes and procedures are followed at all times* Assist Operations Manager in completing required USPS and internal reports, job costing reports and application of all USPS postal regulations. Assure clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shifts* Offer suggestions regarding increasing efficiency of use of equipment, working conditions, and motivation of employees.* Other duties as assigned **Your Background:*** **Ability to work Monday - Friday (weekends as needed), 4:00 pm - 1:00 am*** Minimum of one year supervisory experience in any one of the following areas where familiarity of USPS requirements and/or regulations are applied (presort, mailroom, associated industries)* Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment* Strong knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access along with basic knowledge of MS Word, internet and email* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, or current maximum allowed by your State.
