Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Warehouse Operations Supervisor, 2nd Shift in Atlanta, Georgia. The role runs Monday through Friday from 4:00PM to 1:00AM EST and offers a base salary between $54,000 and $67,000 with a 6% field bonus.

The position supports Presort Services operations and USPS compliance, driving productivity and quality across the team. You will supervise production workers, manage staffing, coach performance, ensure cost controls, and communicate across shifts to meet postal deadlines

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in USPS-related environments (presort/mailroom).
• Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in production or mailing.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and/or Access; basic knowledge of Word, Teams, internet and Outlook.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays as needed.

• Interview, hire, train, appraise performance; reward and discipline staff.

• Complete required USPS and internal reports; communicate across shifts.
• Suggest ways to increase equipment efficiency and worker motivation.

Your career with Pitney Bowes will help you be an integral part of the operation that will support not only your career development but our business’ continued growth.You Will:Under direction from the Operations Manager or Assistant Operations Manager, organizes the mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes and type of mail based on current staffing levels to meet postal deadlines.Manage the production workers on designated shift.Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems.Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.Oversees quality function throughout the production area.Assures TQM (Total Quality Management) processes and procedures are followed at all times.Assists Operations Manager in completing required USPS and internal reports, job costing reports and application of all USPS postal regulations.Assures clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shifts.Offers suggestions regarding increasing efficiency of use of equipment, working conditions, and motivation of employees.Be responsible for other duties as assigned.Your Background:Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in any of the following areas where familiarity of USPS requirements and/or regulations are applied (presort, mailroom, associated industries)Minimum of 2-years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environmentStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access along with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, internet, and Microsoft Outlook.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., or current maximum allowed by your State.Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation.Based on operational needs must be willing and able to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, days off and/or a different shift with limited or no advance noticeOur Team:Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS.
