Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in presort, mailroom or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in production or mailing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Access; basic knowledge of Word, Teams, Internet and Outlook.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to walk/stand 80% of the time.
• Willing to work weekends, holidays and shifts with limited notice.

Responsibilities

• Organize mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes.
• Manage production workers on the designated shift to meet deadlines.
• Interview, hire, train, appraise performance and address employee issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Oversee quality throughout the production area and ensure TQM processes.
• Assist with USPS and internal reports, job costing, and postal regulations.
• Maintain clear communication between shifts and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Warehouse Operations Supervisor, 2nd Shift in Atlanta, Georgia at our Presort Services facility!

Your schedule will be Monday through Friday from 4:00PM to 1:00AM EST.

The annual base salary range for this role is $54,000.00 - $67,000.00.

This role also has a 6% field bonus.

As part of our commitment to a flexible work schedule, this role does not have a set amount of vacation per year.

You Will:

• Under direction from the Operations Manager or Assistant Operations Manager, organizes the mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes and type of mail based on current staffing levels to meet postal deadlines.
• Manage the production workers on designated shift.
• Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems.
• Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Oversees quality function throughout the production area.
• Assures TQM (Total Quality Management) processes and procedures are followed at all times.
• Assists Operations Manager in completing required USPS and internal reports, job costing reports and application of all USPS postal regulations.
• Assures clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shifts.
• Offers suggestions regarding increasing efficiency of use of equipment, working conditions, and motivation of employees.
• Be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Your Background:

• Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in any of the following areas where familiarity of USPS requirements and/or regulations are applied (presort, mailroom, associated industries)
• Minimum of 2-years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access along with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, internet, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., or current maximum allowed by your State.
• Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation.
• Based on operational needs must be willing and able to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, days off and/or a different shift with limited or no advance notice
