Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for our Grand Prairie, TX presort facility on the 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 4:00 PM–1:00 AM). You will oversee production workers, organize mail flow, and ensure compliance with USPS regulations and quality standards.

The role requires supervising staff, hiring, training, and evaluating performance, with strong MS Excel/Access skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Some weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in presort/mailroom or related areas.
• Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing environment.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access; basic Word/internet/email skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize mail flow on the production floor and assign workers based on volumes.
• Oversee production workers on the shift; interview, hire, train, and appraise performance; discipline as needed.
• Ensure quality control and follow Total Quality Management processes.
• Assist in USPS and internal reports; ensure USPS compliance and cost reporting.
• Suggest efficiency improvements for equipment usage, working conditions and staff motivation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable lawsOversee quality function throughout the production area. Assure TQM (Total Quality Management) processes and procedures are followed at all timesAssist Operations Manager in completing required USPS and internal reports, job costing reports and application of all USPS postal regulations. Assure clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shiftsOffer suggestions regarding increasing efficiency of use of equipment, working conditions, and motivation of employees.Other duties as assignedYour Background:Ability to work Monday - Friday (weekends as needed), 4:00 pm - 1:00 amMinimum of one year supervisory experience in any one of the following areas where familiarity of USPS requirements and/or regulations are applied (presort, mailroom, associated industries)Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environmentStrong knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access along with basic knowledge of MS Word, internet and emailAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, or current maximum allowed by your State.
