Job summary

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of warehouse experience with supervisory skills and hands-on forklift knowledge. This on-site role requires strong organizational abilities and effective team leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years of warehouse experience, including supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory practices, safety procedures, and recordkeeping.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
• English communication required.
• Flexible, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, auditing, loading/unloading, and inventory control
• Ensure orders and warehouse activities are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule
• Assign daily work, monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and employee performance
• Train, coach, and support warehouse employees on operational procedures and equipment safety
• Troubleshoot shipping, receiving, inventory, transportation, and customer-related issues
• Maintain accurate warehouse records, reports, and operational logs
• Monitor employee schedules and overtime based on workload
• Support warehouse budget and expense management
• Coordinate with outside vendors such as trucking companies and staffing agencies
• Maintain warehouse safety, housekeeping, and equipment standards
• Assist with periodic physical inventory
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity, and service quality
• Serve as backup to the Warehouse Manager when needed

Position Overview

The role includes responsibility for directing warehouse personnel, maintaining smooth daily operations, meeting customer requirements, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operating procedures.

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory practices, safety procedures, and recordkeeping
• Proven ability to supervise employees, delegate work, monitor performance, and maintain accountability
• Forklift certification required
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents, packing lists, and warehouse instructions
• Basic math skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Flexible, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment
