Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent, or six months to one year related experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; ERP systems such as Profit 21.

Responsibilities

• Plan layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors.
• Advise employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling and shipping stock.
• Study records and recommend remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
• Review records for accuracy of information and compliance with procedures; determine adequacy of stock levels.
• Schedule work for inventories and expedites workflow.
• Trace history of items to determine discrepancies and recommend remedial actions.
• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and assign duties.
• Issue written and oral instructions; supervise and evaluate staff performance.
