Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Warehouse Operations Specialist in Port Allen, LA to maintain security and integrity of customer assets and efficiently process storage containers. You will handle scanning, locating, and moving secure storage boxes while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements include 1–2 years in a warehouse/records center, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and strong English communication. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:30 am–4:00 pm, at 1274 Commercial Dr.

Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill customer orders using the Safekeeper system (avg. 200 boxes daily).
• Load/unload trailers and move, weigh, sort, and disassemble items as needed.
• Maintain clean, secure work area and safeguard customer information.

Iron Mountain is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of customer assets while efficiently processing and managing secure storage containers within our record center. Your commitment to accuracy and safety is essential to our promise of protecting what our customers value most.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

In this role, you will:

• Process and fulfill customer orders by utilizing the Safekeeper system to accurately scan carton barcodes and locations, managing an average of 200 secure storage boxes daily for retrieval or return.
• Execute all physical logistics, including safely loading and unloading trailers, moving, weighing, sorting, and disassembling items, while safely operating necessary tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and security protocols by maintaining a clean, secure work area and rigorously safeguarding customer information at all times.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate will have:

• One to two (1-2) years of experience in a warehouse, records center, or similar operations environment.
• Strong knowledge of basic computer-related equipment, data entry, and industry tools, paired with excellent organization and attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Proven ability in safely performing physical tasks, including regularly lifting up to 60 pounds, and remaining stationary or performing repetitive motions for extended periods (e.g., climbing, stooping, pushing, and pulling).
• High School diploma or equivalent with proficiency in English reading, writing, and communication skills.
