Job summary

Avantor is hiring a Material Handler to efficiently receive, store, pick, and ship products while meeting safety and quality standards. The role is based at the Bridgeport, NJ location with a Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM schedule.

The ideal candidate will have high school education or GED, material handling experience, and OSHA forklift/HAZMAT certification is a plus. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED.
• Material handling or related experience.
• OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds with proper technique.
• Must be able to shift priorities easily.
• Familiarity with warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

• Inbound: unload, inspect, document shortages or damages, sign for inbound shipments.
• Order Picking: verify product, lot/serial details, and label as required.
• Outbound: verify quantities, labeling, and ship to destination.
• Equipment: operate and maintain forklift and pallet jacks safely.
• Inventory: keep records, assist in cycle counts, stock rotation.
• Other duties: repack, repair damaged goods, clean and organize.
