Job summary

Avantor in Bridgeport, NJ is seeking a Material Handler to receive, store, pick, and ship products to meet safety, quality, and customer service standards. The role is full-time with a Monday–Friday, 9am–5:30pm schedule at the Bridgeport, NJ site.

The ideal candidate will have material handling experience, knowledge of warehouse processes, and may hold OSHA forklift/HAZMAT certifications. Lifting up to 75 lbs and operating equipment safely are required.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED.
• Material handling or related experience.
• OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inbound: unload shipments, inspect for damage, report issues.
• Order picking: verify product and lot/serial numbers, label and package.
• Outbound: ensure correct shipments, label, and sign for delivery as needed.
• Equipment: maintain and operate warehouse machinery safely.
• Inventory: keep records, assist in cycle counts and stock rotation.
• Other duties: repack, repair damaged goods, operate shrink-wrap, clean areas.
