Job summary

Pretium Packaging in St. Charles, Illinois, seeks a Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse and material flow activities in the plant.

You will be responsible for direct material procurement, inventory management, receiving, shipping, and transportation, ensuring on-time customer shipments and cost-efficient operations. The role requires 3–5+ years in warehouse/logistics, prior leadership experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of warehouse, materials management, or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Leadership or supervisory experience of up to eight employees.
• Experience managing direct materials, inventory, shipping/receiving, and transportation activities.
• Working knowledge of IQMS or another ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse activities to support production and customer requirements.
• Coordinate direct material ordering and replenishment with Purchasing, Planning, and Production.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Ensure incoming materials are received, documented, and stored; outgoing shipments are shipped on schedule.
• Manage plant drivers, delivery schedules, vehicle utilization, and transportation activities.
• Collaborate with Production and Planning to ensure materials are delivered to the production floor per schedule.
• Lead and develop warehouse staff; set expectations and foster teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe, compliant warehouse and loading environment; adhere to policies and regulations.
• Ensure accurate ERP/MRP transactions and monitor KPIs like inventory accuracy and on-time shipments.
• Identify opportunities to improve material flow, warehouse organization, and costs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve shortages and shipping challenges.
