Job summary

Vallen Distribution is seeking a Warehouse/Distribution Center Manager to oversee receiving, unloading, inspecting, picking, packing and shipping operations. You will monitor productivity, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance while guiding a team of warehouse staff.

The role emphasizes staff leadership, process improvements, and collaboration with purchasing to ensure product availability and on-time deliveries, enabling excellent customer service for our customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of distribution or related experience.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn WMS.
• Experience with warehouse operations: receiving, picking, packing, shipping.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse staff including interviewing, hiring, coaching and evaluating performance.
• Set productivity goals and monitor daily performance to meet targets.
• Support sales growth by ensuring timely deliveries and customer service.
• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure merchandise availability.
• Direct reclamation of damaged merchandise and coordinate transportation schedules.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and training programs.
