Job summary

The Remas Company is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager for the 2nd shift in Atlanta, GA. You will oversee critical warehousing functions, drive safety, quality, and performance, and lead a team to meet customer commitments.

This role requires strong leadership, experience in warehousing or 3PL, and familiarity with AS9100/ISO environments. You will coordinate with vendors, hire/train staff, and implement process improvements to keep operations efficient.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field.
• 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment.
• Lean, Six Sigma and continuous process improvement knowledge.
• Experience in warehousing or 3PL.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and statistical analysis skills.

About the job Warehouse Operations Manager, 2nd shift

2nd Shift, Monday Friday, 3:00pm 11:00pm

As the Operations Manager you will oversee several important areas that are critical to keeping the operations running smoothly. We'll count on your skills and years of experience to be a champion of our values, ensuring an engaged workforce, loyal customers, efficient operations

What youll do on a typical day:

• Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met
• Demonstrate an understanding of company's quality policies; establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives
• Provide guidance to supervisors with respect to personnel, quality and safety
• Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively
• Make recommendations on programs to improve operations
• Handle equipment and coordinate all maintenance needs with the maintenance team
• Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner
• Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other pertinent standards/regulations

What you need to succeed:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• 4 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field
• 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
• Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience
• Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments
• Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights
• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
