Support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including supervisors, staff, processes, and resources.
Provide leadership coverage during supervisor or manager absences to maintain productivity and workflow.
Help develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and performance.
Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising staff to ensure high performance standards.
Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
Support budget management and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Coordinate with sales, marketing, logistics, and other departments to align operational goals.
Oversee inventory control, stock audits, and loss prevention to optimize turnover.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Resolve operational issues and customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Promote a positive, team-oriented, continuous improvement culture.
Quality, Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and cGMP regulations.
Work with the Quality team and complete training within the Quality Management System (QMS).
Maintain warehouse safety, cleanliness, and proper working conditions.
Support audit preparation and regulatory inspections.
Enforce WHS procedures, incident reporting, and proper PPE usage.
Performance & Team Development
Conduct regular team communications to set goals and action plans.
Train, mentor, and develop warehouse staff.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure delivery schedules and deadlines are met.
Skills & Qualifications
Post-secondary education preferred.
8+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
Strong knowledge of warehouse best practices; OSHA knowledge preferred.
Experience with WMS systems and RF scanners.
Dangerous Goods certification and pharmaceutical/cGMP experience preferred.
Familiarity with quality management software is an asset.
Ability to lift up to 25kg and work in PPE as required.
