Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate distribution of parts to support assembly teams.
  • Coordinate daily warehouse operations, cycle counts, intercompany shipments, and stocking strategies.
  • Primary contact for warehouse operations issues.
  • Lead team receiving, identifying, issuing, storing, or kitting materials.
  • Develop standards and processes based on improvement opportunities.
  • Support safety, quality, performance, and productivity improvements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and assembly teams to prevent issues.
  • Analyze current processes and address internal/external customer needs.
  • Support Lean journey with coaching on Lean principles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Coordinate daily warehouse operations leading a team of associates who receive, identify and manage the staging and distribution of a wide variety of raw material, manufactured and purchased components for additional processing, assembly, machining, or direct shipment, to internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensure timely and accurate distribution of parts to ensure assembly teams can start on time.
  • Coordinate and manage daily and on-going warehouse operation activities, including cycle counts, intercompany and direct shipment, and stocking strategies.
  • Primary contact concerning warehouse operations issues.
  • Lead team of personnel who receive, identify, issue, store, or kit materials and parts.
  • Develop standards and processes based on improvement opportunities or quality/cost concerns.
  • Provide support for operations in safety, quality, performance, and productivity improvement opportunities.
  • Proactively engage the warehouse operations, purchasing and assembly teams to eliminate trending issues and concerns affecting the customer.
  • Analyze current state processes for internal and external customer support and develop plans to address areas of need.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement through Lean journey by assisting with development and coaching of associates and team leaders on Lean principles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of warehouse and inventory leadership experience preferred, or 5 years of related warehouse experience.
  • Leadership experience in one or more of the areas of manufacturing, warehouse and inventory leadership, and/or lean deployment, with transformational responsibilities.
  • Proven success designing, implementing, communicating, meeting goals, including improving through-put, shortening cycle time, improving inventory turns, and reducing supply chain costs.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills using root cause analysis and other lean tools.
  • Skilled in analytics and statistical process control, change management, and legacy quality tools such as PDCA, FMEA, control plans, etc.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
  • Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
  • Travel by air or car occasionally
