Job summary

Connecticut Foodshare is seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations to oversee all warehouse activities, staff development, and compliance with safety and food-handling regulations. The role focuses on optimizing receiving, storage, selection, and distribution of donated products while driving efficiency and accuracy.

The successful candidate will manage inventory control systems, develop policies, and work with leadership to plan budgets and long-range goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years in a related function, or 7+ years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise daily warehouse operations to meet productivity targets.
• Ensure efficient receiving, storage, picking, and order fulfillment of donated product.
• Maintain inventory control systems and ensure accurate reporting.
• Develop and enforce warehouse policies to comply with codes and safety standards.
• Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff with focus on development.
• Oversee safety programs and food safety requirements.
