Job summary

Hub Group is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor in Grand Prairie, TX to assist the Manager with overall warehouse and customer service operations. You will plan, direct and train staff, ensuring safe workplaces and productive teams while meeting customer requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising loading/unloading, enforcing work instructions, maintaining equipment and building upkeep, and achieving 100 percent customer satisfaction through accurate inventory and timely service.

Qualifications

• Four years distribution supervisory/management experience leading a staff of 10+ employees in operations of at least 60,000 sq. ft.
• Experience with WMS, metric-driven operations, labor and resource management.
• College degree not required.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions; read, write and communicate effectively.
• Pass written and obstacle course for forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, train and implement warehouse and customer service employees to meet productivity and service goals for each customer.
• Supervise activities of workers engaged in loading and unloading products from trucks and performing handling or value-added functions for our customer.
• Ensure every employee follows work instructions, bills of lading, receivers or specific work instructions.
• Operate in compliance with federal, state, local statutes, OSHA requirements and Federal Labor law.
• Develop and maintain a productive work team through hiring, training, motivation, directing, praising, counseling and discipline.
• Maintain a productivity program with tracking for promotions, wage increases and terminations; evaluate employees.
