Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Romulus, MI to oversee day-to-day operations in a large parts redistribution center. You will manage an hourly workforce, coordinate staffing, and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across inbound, outbound, and claims processing.

Work across 1st and 2nd shifts, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and union relations. This contract onsite role offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervision experience in a warehouse, distribution, or similar environment.
• Experience in warehouse management and supervision.
• Ability to manage day-to-day operations in a large warehousing or parts redistribution environment.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and leading safety initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead hourly teams with staffing, attendance, and daily assignments.
• Experience implementing and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to build relationships with union or organized labor counterparts.
• Strong organizational skills with control over processes and documentation.
• Capability to prepare and maintain operational records and documentation.
• Flexibility to work across 1st and 2nd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, and claims processing activities.
• Collaborate with superintendent and plant leadership to align operations with facility goals.
• Manage day-to-day PRC operations with strict process controls.
• Lead the hourly team and provide clear direction.
• Oversee staffing, attendance, vacations, and shift coverage.
• Attend and document crew meetings with follow-ups.
• Prepare and maintain work-related records and reports.
• Schedule workforce needs, including overtime and vacations.
• Develop projects to improve metrics and reduce expenses.
• Champion continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with union counterparts for smooth operations.
• Promote a continuous improvement culture among hourly staff.
• Lead safety initiatives to promote a zero-incident mindset.
• Address safety concerns promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with salaried and hourly teams on safety adherence.
• Maintain quality procedures to ensure high performance.
