Job summary

NFI in California is seeking a Warehouse Operations Lead to coordinate daily warehouse activities under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, directing work assignments and ensuring service and cost objectives are met.

The role involves overseeing receiving, put-away, picking, and loading; training staff on SOPs; maintaining orderly inventory; and driving safety, accuracy, and productivity in partnership with the warehouse leadership team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with shift leadership to accomplish shift goals.
• Oversee and coordinate warehouse processes such as receiving, put-away, picking, and loading of products.
• Direct work assignments to employees.
• Provide daily hands-on support in material handling and forklift responsibilities.
• Drive compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives.
• Brainstorm and suggest new ideas on how to improve processes to supervisor.
• Communicate professionally, both orally and written, to internal and external partners.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management; assist in finding solutions to problem areas.
• Ensure efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment.
• Train new and current employees on operational SOPs and WIs.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean and orderly; organise and rotate inventory, maintain product labels, sweep the warehouse, and assist in staging orders for delivery.
• Ensure product is stored safely and in the proper place.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.
