Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a shipping/receiving supervisor role
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to adjust to variable work demands

Responsibilities

• Coordinates planning and assignment of work to maximize efficiency of personnel and equipment
• Maintains inventory and helps establish inventory levels based on usage and demand
• Receives shipments and enters information into tracking system for disbursement
• Inspects incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality; rejects undesired items
• Supervises warehouse operations and inventory to ensure security and upkeep
• Assists in obtaining supplies from site vendors and communicates needs to management
• Develops improvements in warehouse practices to promote efficiency and reduce costs
• Provides training for warehouse employees and assists with selection
• Uncrates shipments and handles disposal or storage of packaging as appropriate
