Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily shipping and receiving, manage staffing, and drive productivity across the Midwest distribution center. You will develop a bench for leadership, coach teams, and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to ensure safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes analytical problem solving, strong communication, and the ability to optimize processes while upholding company policies and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership or warehouse management experience.
• Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Conflict resolution and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily shipping and receiving activities to meet department metrics.
• Interview, train, and maintain staffing levels to meet daily goals.
• Identify high-potential team members for leadership development.
• Foster positive relationships with team members and Union representatives.
• Promote a constructive work environment and collaboration.
• Establish and monitor DC Scorecard metrics for productivity and efficiency.
• Coach teams to achieve performance, quality, cost and service goals.
• Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment and workflows.
• Address team member concerns and manage disciplinary actions when needed.
• Continuously evaluate warehouse processes and recommend improvements.
