Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Houston is seeking a Warehouse Administrator to support warehouse operations through accurate documentation and inventory record management. You will serve as a key link between warehouse personnel, vendors, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate flow of inventory and materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in administrative, shipping / receiving, warehouse, or inventory control preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic data entry (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Maintain warehouse documentation and records, including receipts, packing slips, shipping labels, bills of lading, delivery notes, and shipping/receiving documentation.
• Process and verify shipping and receiving transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of all records.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate information within warehouse management systems, inventory databases, and related tracking tools.
• Manage inventory data and support inventory accuracy by updating stock records, tracking inventory movements, and investigating discrepancies.
• Process orders and provide administrative support for picking, packing, shipping, and fulfillment activities.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including scheduling deliveries, pickups, and carrier appointments.
• Communicate with vendors, carriers, warehouse staff, and internal departments to facilitate smooth operational workflows.
• Monitor shipment status and provide updates regarding deliveries, inventory availability, and operational concerns.
• Conduct routine audits of warehouse records and documentation to ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
• Support quality control efforts by identifying, documenting, and reporting inventory, shipping, or receiving discrepancies.
• Assist with scheduling and workflow coordination to support daily warehouse operations and staffing needs.
• Generate reports and maintain records related to inventory, shipments, receiving activities, and operational performance.
• Support organization and administrative oversight of warehouse operations to ensure efficient and accurate execution of warehouse processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of business records and operational data.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and warehouse operational standards.
