Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Warehouse Leader in San Diego, CA to oversee branch warehouse operations, including logistics, inventory control, safety, and equipment utilization. You will lead a team handling loading, packing, shipping and receiving to meet service standards.

The role requires physical ability, SAP knowledge, and adherence to warehouse procedures with a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm schedule. Compensation is $30.00 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Physical ability to lift and move inventory up to 70 pounds.
• Able to operate warehouse equipment safely and follow safety instructions.
• Knowledge of warehouse layouts and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities of employees in loading, unloading, selecting, packing, shipping, receiving and transportation of merchandise.
• Supervise incoming and outgoing shipment activity; ensure efficient, accurate and timely customer service to achieve service goals.
• Perform physical tasks to lift and move inventory throughout the warehouse.
• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment per manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
• Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe state and follow safety procedures; conduct daily safety inspections.
• Ensure security of merchandise and equipment and manage loss prevention and cycle counts.
• Determine routing and load limits, inspect loading operations and direct movement of shipments.
• Compile records of unfilled orders, post weights and shipping charges, and prepare bills of lading.
• Ensure DOT regulations and hazardous material shipping compliance; participate in Warehouse Steering Committee.
