Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee shipping and receiving in our Distribution Center. The role ensures accurate inbound/outbound handling, coaches a team of associates, enforces safety policies, and collaborates with Transportation and 3PL partners to optimize flow.

The ideal candidate brings supervisory experience in warehousing, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage performance and safety initiatives across the shift.

Qualifications

• Strong general knowledge of warehousing operations with supervisory experience.
• Good supervisory skills with ability to work through others to achieve results.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to train and direct staff.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise and direct shipping/receiving associates.
• Enforce work rules and policies; ensure safety and food safety guidelines.
• Communicate standard processes; conduct safety observations and audits.
• Maintain daily production records; address performance gaps and attendance.
• Manage scheduling, inbound load appointments, and coordination with 3PL.
• Oversee equipment and labor planning to maximize efficiency.
• Lead daily shift meetings focusing on safety, productivity and accuracy.
