Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Warehouse Lead in Aberdeen, MD to oversee warehouse activities, coordinate tasks with the Warehouse Supervisor, and ensure efficient operations. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and safety awareness to manage receiving, packing, and shipping processes.

Schedule is Sunday-Thursday, 3pm until finish, with a pay range of $70,772 to $84,917 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Six months warehousing operations experience or one year prior supervisory experience.
• Preferred—Two years previous warehouse experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Powered Industrial Vehicle Certification (PIV) Certification or License.
• High School / Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with supervisors to assist daily activities of the GFS warehouse.
• Monitor receiving, selection, and loading to ensure efficient flow of products.
• Assist in observations, reviews, and disciplinary actions; provide recommendations to the warehouse supervisor.
• Monitor and prioritize order fulfillment.
• Assist in investigating variances.
• Assist in the administration and record keeping for the department including daily time and attendance, weekly action incentive input and scoring, and preparing meetings.
• Provide training for employees on job technique and safety requirements.
• Serve in the function of employee or supervisor as appropriate.
• Assist in resolving warehouse issues, problems or conflicts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
