Job summary

Acme Tools in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Warehouse Operations Coordinator to keep the distribution center running smoothly. You’ll analyze daily production, ensure orders are fulfilled accurately, and drive efficient workflow across all departments.

You’ll work with leadership to optimize staffing, monitor schedules, and maintain SOPs, while supporting inventory flow, cycle counts, and timely shipping. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to handle

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics leadership experience.
• Advanced technology and reporting skills – including familiarity with pulling inventory, system, and workflow reports, and working with excel to interpret data accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to maintain accuracy in all data reporting.
• This position will deal with a high amount of proprietary and confidential data – the ability to maintain complete confidentiality is essential.
• Strong communication skills in order to effectively monitor work schedules and present data and findings to upper leadership.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable in-person attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50lbs for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist leadership in analyzing employee workflow and monitoring production data to identify trends and improve efficiency.
• Recommend staffing placements to meet headcounts and production goals.
• Maintain team member schedules and assignment boards.
• Ensure accurate employee placement and report discrepancies to leadership.
• Review and update SOPs to align with workflow changes and goals.
• Support inventory flow and ensure stock is accessible throughout the facility.
• Monitor order output and shipping deadlines to meet customer expectations.
• Assist with cycle counts and improve inventory accuracy.
• Support bulk customer order processing and communications follow-up.
• Report production variances to leadership based on data.
• Help support other coordinator roles to maintain DC efficiency.
• Maintain safe, organized, and efficient work environment at all times.
• Report safety concerns or suspicious activity to leadership.
• This evolving role may expand or include other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting leadership in analysis of employee workflow and monitoring individual production data to discover trends and patterns in employee output and product movement for efficiency
• Make recommendations to leadership regarding employee assignments/placements throughout departments in order to meet minimum headcounts, production benchmarks, and overall Distribution Center production goals
• Assist in maintaining team member job assignment boards and a master list of employee schedules
• Ensure accurate employee placement throughout the Distribution Center multiple times per day based on job assignments and ensuring scheduled attendance; report any discrepancies to leadership
• Monitoring Standard Operating Procedures follow-through to align with best practices, technology advancements, and evolving goals. This role may assist leadership to revise SOPs based on changing workflow needs and priorities.
• Support replenishment and product flow activities to ensure inventory is stocked, organized, and accessible throughout the facility
• Monitoring order output, shipping deadlines, and backorder timelines to ensure production goals and customer expectations are met
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy efforts, helping to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Bulk customer order support, validation, communication follow-up
• Reporting production/scheduling variances and workflow concerns to leadership based on data collected
• Help support other coordinator roles as needed in order to maintain efficiency within the Distribution Center
• Support a safe, organized, and efficient work environment at all times
• Report any safety concerns or suspicious activity to leadership immediately.
• This is an evolving role within the organization and may expand or include other similar duties as assigned

Need-To-Haves

Love-To-Haves

• 4+ years of workflow monitoring experience
• 2+ years of working with advanced excel reporting functions, POS, and inventory monitoring
