Warehouse Operations Associate (Part-Time)

Our Warehouse Operations Associates are the backbone of Southern Lion. They keep inventory flowing, assemble and stage products, and maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment — ensuring every customer order and in-store display is ready to impress. This is a hands‑on, physically active role that requires energy, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork.

Position Summary

This part‑time Warehouse Operations Associate role is physically intensive and ideal for someone who enjoys staying active throughout the day. This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, assembling, and staging merchandise. Associates support both back‑of‑house and sales floor operations — from receiving and organizing inventory to assisting with booth builds, painting, and staging events. This position is essential for keeping Southern Lion running smoothly and providing a seamless, beautiful experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately log incoming shipments; report damages or discrepancies immediately.
• Perform daily cycle counts, safety inspections, and checklist tasks to maintain an accurate, organized, and hazard‑free warehouse.
• Rotate and label stock systematically to ensure quick access and reduce damage.
• Assemble furniture, fixtures, and displays daily with precision and efficiency.
• Assist with booth builds, painting, light construction, or repair work to support merchant needs and store upkeep.
• Prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery, packaging securely to prevent damage.
• Move, stage, and restage furniture and décor for floor resets, seasonal updates, and events.
• Follow the daily warehouse checklist: sweep floors, remove trash, check exits, maintain clear aisles, and inspect equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized space that supports fast‑paced operations.
• Safely operate pallet jacks, dollies and other equipment; complete routine equipment checks and report issues promptly.
• Partner with the sales team and managers to prioritize fulfillment and ensure orders are ready on time.
• Support events, pop‑ups and promotions with product staging and logistics assistance.
• Participate in daily huddles and share ideas for improving efficiency, safety and workflow.
• Perform additional administrative duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• This is a physically demanding, active role — candidates must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting and moving heavy items for most of the shift.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, furniture assembly or other hands‑on work preferred.
• Experience with painting, construction or repair work is a strong plus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep accurate inventory records.
• Comfort using basic computer systems for data entry and inventory tracking.
• Dependable, safety‑minded and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and special events.
