Job summary

Visual Comfort & Co. is seeking a Warehouse Operations Associate II in Skokie, IL. You will collaborate with warehouse teams to manage receiving, storage, and shipping, while ensuring inventory accuracy and efficient workflows.

The role requires 1–3 years in a warehousing environment and proficiency with JDE, RDS, DSI, SQL, and Microsoft Office. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, on-site work, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years’ previous experience in a warehousing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse activities: overseeing receiving, storage, and shipping.
• Monitor workflow and productivity; identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Assist in scheduling and resource allocation; support supervisors in planning labor and equipment needs.
• Handle complex shipping and receiving tasks for high-value or sensitive shipments.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and customer service to meet deadlines.
• Work effectively in a team to achieve organizational goals and resolve problems.

Reporting directly to Warehouse Manager within the Distribution department, The Warehouse Operations Associate II is responsible for collaborating with all other warehouse departments, as needed. Duties include receiving and processing incoming/outbound shipments, preparing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy of department, operating warehouse equipment, and quality assurance of area.

What you will bring:

• 1 - 3 years’ previous experience in a warehousing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate is preferred
• Strong aptitude for and proficiency navigating JDE, RDS, DSI, SQL and all Microsoft Office programs
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
• Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
• Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone
• Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, late evenings, if/when needed
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for this role

Compensation Range: $21.62 per hour

Compensation for this position is based on applicable, job-related factors, which may include, where relevant to the position, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic work location, consistent with applicable law.
