Qualifications

• Five years of full-time related experience as a Maintenance Technician in a warehouse, distribution center or manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance practices for material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies to maintain the facility.
• Inspect, test operate PIT equipment and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Operate equipment such as stock pickers, boom lifts and scissor lifts to inspect and repair conveyors.
• Climb stairs and ladders to reach equipment and perform maintenance on mezzanine levels.
• Create and close out work orders with labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain daily housekeeping.

The Warehouse Maintenance Technician III is responsible for collaborating with all other warehouse departments, as needed. Duties include the basic maintenance, repair, and construction functions of the facility, such as plumbing, electrical, building construction, fabrication, and conveyor maintenance throughout the facility.

How success is defined:

• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies within the building such as basic plumbing, electrical, patching, painting and other repairs and maintenance as needed to maintain property.
• Inspect, test drive and operate all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) on site as needed to ensure it is safe to use for the team and coordinate with outside vendors for warranty and other needed repairs.
• Operate equipment such as Stock Pickers, Boom Lifts and Scissor Lifts 30-50 feet in the air to inspect, repair and replace elevated conveyor parts and belts and conduct facility inspections and maintenance.
• Climb stairs and ladders to reach and maintain equipment to the sortation system located on mezzanine level 15 feet above the ground floor and perform all maintenance and repairs.
• Create and close out work order with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used.
• Adhere to all safety, OSHA guidelines, work rules and policies and focuses daily on housekeeping inside and outside of the facility.
• Must be present in the workplace and demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by the Manager.
• Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.

What you will bring:

• A minimum of five (5) years of full-time related experience as a Maintenance Technician in a warehouse, distribution center or manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree required.
• Strong knowledge of the principles, practices, and objectives of basic maintenance to include repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, construction, forklift repair, power tools, preventative maintenance, heating and cooling, blueprint, automated packaging, and distribution equipment along with schematics.
• Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-yes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors and solenoids.
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere, promoting positive work relationships with other team members, as well as internal and external customers.
• Capacity to utilize effective time management skills and be able to work under the stress of multiple deadlines, requests from other departments, and interruptions with accuracy.

Compensation Range: $24 to $26 per hour plus $1 shift differential
