Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate II to join our Operations team in New York. The role focuses on inbound or outbound activities, following SOPs to prepare orders for shipment and maintain safety, quality and productivity standards.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 7:30pm (or until work is completed). Pay rate is $21.40 per hour with comprehensive benefits and eligibility for bonuses. Training will be provided; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Comfort with heights 20-30 feet regularly.
• Previous material handling equipment experience (PIT) preferred.
• RF scanner and/or voice-pick experience highly preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime with little to no notice.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to priorities while working independently or in a team.
• Aptitude to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with hourly performance standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to process orders, including picking, quality checks, sorting, consolidating freight, pallets, packing and shipment prep.
• Pick large or small items and place on designated carts.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in/out products.
• Operate material handling equipment as required (order picker, forklift, reach truck, etc.).
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks, maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Handle routine tasks requiring some problem resolution.
• Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
