Warehouse Operations Associate – Restaurant Technologies
About the Role
The Warehouse Operations Associate is a key member of the depot team, responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory management, fleet upkeep, and maintaining food safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Management – Oversee the shipping of materials to customers, prepare corporate returns, and support the weekly receiving of cooking oil tanker trucks. Verify load specifications against COAs and execute secure connection and removal of tankers following safety protocols. Maintain accurate receiving and reconciliation of orders and inventory, and process corporate repair bins and returns.
- Warehouse Inspection – Inspect oil samples for contaminants, conduct warehouse inspections, and ensure there are no hazards or deficiencies.
- Forklift Operations – Operate a forklift to safely move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse while adhering to safety protocols. Load fleet vehicles with cooking oil for daily delivery routes.
- Fleet Maintenance – Follow weekly SSOPs to clean filters and hoses, ensure truck cleanliness, conduct verification checks on delivery truck flow meters, perform truck calibrations, and make repairs or replacements of pumps and hoses.
- Fleet Safety and Compliance – If a valid CDL is available, move DOT-regulated trucks within the depot and conduct routine safety inspections to ensure road readiness and compliance.
- Warehouse Cleaning and Maintenance – Execute daily SSOPs to maintain sanitary conditions, complete food safety documentation, sanitize warehouse floors and common areas, and log corrective actions in regulatory logs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- 2+ years of warehouse‑related experience.
- Valid driver’s license and current DOT medical card or willingness to obtain one.
- Willingness to pass a DOT‑mandated pre‑employment drug test.
- Clean driving record and adherence to Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
- Willingness to obtain forklift operator certification (training provided).
- Mechanically inclined with ability to use hand tools for basic repairs and maintenance on fleet equipment and warehouse machinery.
- Proficiency with smartphones and handheld devices for warehouse tasks.
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds by hand, move several hundred yards by cart, bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn, and reach out; climb ladders up to 20 feet.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to set priorities and manage multiple goals.
- Excellent collaboration skills with internal teams and outstanding customer service orientation.
- Highly organized with the ability to maintain orderly work environments and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of warehouse‑related experience.
- 2+ years of experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- 2+ years of experience executing daily SSOPs and completing HACCP documentation.
- 2+ years of fleet maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and minor repairs.
- Previous experience driving trucks with CDL Class A or B.
