Job summary

Intellian Technologies in Lake Forest, California, is seeking a Warehouse Operations Associate to execute daily warehouse tasks supporting Satcom and US government programs. You will ensure products are received, handled, packed, stored, and prepared for shipment in line with quality standards and program timelines.

This hands-on, nonexempt, hourly role requires attention to detail, accurate inventory control, SAP goods receipt processing, and safe handling of high-value equipment.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in warehouse operations, packing, or production support preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or technical product environment preferred.
  • Understanding of inventory management and packing standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of daily operations.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-program environment.
  • Effective coordination with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily warehouse operations, including receiving finished goods.
  • Process Goods Receipt transactions in SAP.
  • Unpack wooden crates containing raw material packages and handle disposal.
  • Scan labels using PDA through MES and capture material history photos.
  • Verify raw material quantities against system records and transfer to IQC.
  • Conduct inventory handling, picking, and staging; support cycle counts.
  • Coordinate with sales operations to ensure timely dispatch and shipment readiness.
  • Maintain serialized inventory locations and accurate storage data.
  • Assist manufacturing to align packing with production output.
  • Follow SOPs for packing, handling, and safety procedures.

Job description

The Warehouse Operations Associate is responsible for executing daily warehouse operations supporting Satcom, GGS, Mil/Gov’t programs, and U.S. Manufacturing.

This hands-on, execution-focused role ensures that all products are properly received, handled, packed, stored, and prepared for shipment in accordance with quality standards, customer requirements, and program timelines.

The position serves as the final execution point before delivery, directly impacting product quality, shipment readiness, and customer experience.

This is a nonexempt, hourly role and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws.

Warehouse Operations Execution
  • Perform daily warehouse operations, including:
  • Receiving finished goods
  • Process Goods Receipt transactions in SAP
  • Receiving the raw materials for GGT and Block1
  • Process Goods Receipt transactions in SAP.
  • Unpack wooden crates containing raw material packages.
  • Dismantle wooden crates and stack them in designated area.
  • Scan labels using PDA through MES.
  • Capture photos of each raw material with their label to maintain history
  • Verify raw material quantities against system records.
  • Transfer scanned raw materials to the IQC (Incoming Quality Check) team.
  • Perform inventory handling, picking, and staging activities.
  • Coordinate with sales operations team to ensure timely dispatch.
  • Ensure shipment readiness aligns with delivery schedules.
  • Maintain organized warehouse layout and material flow:
  • Maintain serialized inventory location tracking by accurately recording part numbers, serial numbers, and storage locations.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and proper stock control.
Manufacturing Interface
  • Coordinate closely with production team to:
  • Receive finished goods.
  • Align packing priorities with production output.
  • Ensure smooth transition from production to logistics.
Quality & Handling Control
  • Ensure proper handling of sensitive and high-value equipment.
  • Maintain handling and packaging quality to prevent:
  • Field installation issues.
  • Follow and enforce SOPs for packing and material handling.
Inventory & Material Control
  • Support cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
  • Ensure proper material usage for packing and shipment preparation.
  • Minimize loss, damage, and discrepancies.
Process & Efficiency Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve:
  • Packing efficiency.
  • Warehouse workflow.
  • Support implementation of standardized procedures.
Outgoing Mail Support
  • Manage daily outbound mail and shipping operations, ensuring all packages, letters, and freight are properly labeled, documented, and dispatched on time.
  • Coordinate with major carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS) to schedule pickups, track shipments, and resolve delivery discrepancies or delays.
  • Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, customs forms, and packing slips, ensuring strict compliance with shipping regulations
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 5–10 years of experience in warehouse operations, packing, or production support preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or technical product environment preferred.
  • Understanding of:
  • Inventory management.
  • Packing standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and ownership of daily operations.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-program environment.
  • Effective coordination with cross-functional teams.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly stand, walk, and sit throughout the warehouse during the workday.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials, products, and packaging weighing up to 50 pounds; heavier items require team lifting or mechanical assistance.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, and twist while handling inventory, packing shipments, and organizing warehouse materials.
  • Perform repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity, including operating handheld scanners, labeling products, assembling packaging materials, and entering data into warehouse systems.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment and material handling tools, including pallet jacks; forklift operation may be required with appropriate certification.
  • Read product labels, shipping documents, and computer screens to verify inventory, packing accuracy, and shipment information.
  • Work in a warehouse and light manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and moving equipment while complying with all safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as steel-toed boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats, as required.
