Job summary

Intuitive is seeking a Lead Warehouse role onsite to drive material handling operations, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, and order fulfillment. You will lead a team, monitor performance, and coordinate training to meet safety and quality goals.

The position emphasizes leadership, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration with engineers and managers; responsibilities include reports and KPI presentation, plus participation in Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of material handling experience or a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing warehouse/assembly ISI experience.
  • Proficient in Agile and/or SAP, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in training/mentoring other Material Handlers
  • Inventory control experience (cycle counting, physical inventories) preferred.
  • Proficient at quality record documentation
  • Must be able to work independently and make decisions quickly and decisively.
  • Ability to lift material up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience and/or certification in operating material-handling equipment preferred.
  • Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting, climbing ladders) is required.
  • Demonstrates leadership and communication ability.
  • Demonstrates understanding of basic operational principles of assemblies upon which training has been completed.
  • Demonstrates ability to diagnose possible root cause failure modes of warehouse transactions

Responsibilities

  • Receiving materials, physically and systemically, to be used in production operations and engineering projects.
  • Parts Put-away: Move approved production materials from IQC staging areas into SMKT storage locations.
  • Supermarket (SMKT)
  • Parts Replenishment for designated production lines, monitoring pull/push signals.
  • MT: Fulfilling and transacting MT requests.
  • Sales Order Fulfillment: Fulfilling and transacting Sales Orders and Service Transfer Orders.
  • Packout: Shipping Responsibilities to Sterigenics and internal-plant transfers.
  • Packing System carts, FRUs and kits. Responsibilities
  • Monitor team-member performance (safety, quality, performance, attendance) and escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Training: Cross-train or mentor others in areas of expertise; Deputized trainer for staff.
  • Reports: Create and distribute daily warehouse reports; end-of-day comprehensive reporting.
  • Establish goals for each functional area and coordinate job rotations to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare and present weekly warehouse data during weekly management walk-throughs; present KPIs.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives in warehouse teams.
  • Review and disposition discrepant material; implement corrective actions.
  • Review operational discrepancies and improve procedures; manage part disposition and rotations.
  • Follow all policies and maintain an accident- and CAPA-free environment.
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record.

Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

The primary objective for this person is to lead warehouse functional area(s). This individual has significant experience in warehouse operations, technical skills (equipment operation, counting, space utilization, handling efficiency), in-depth knowledge of ISI’s inventory management systems and software (Agile, SAP, WMS, PPG), and strong interpersonal and communication skills. This person would work closely with fellow team members, common stakeholders such as, engineers, cross cross-functional managers, and the supervisor to achieve team performance goals in the areas of safety, quality, and performance. Goals are set in each of these areas for each quarter, and overall team performance is measured against them.

  • Receiving: Receiving materials, physically and systemically, to be used in production operations and engineering projects.
  • Parts Put-away: Physically and systemically move approved production materials from IQC staging areas into SMKT storage locations. (Totes and Bulk)
  • Supermarket (SMKT)
  • Parts Replenishment: Point-of-use parts replenishment for designated production lines, monitoring pull/push signals from external and internal warehouses.
  • MT: Fulfilling and transacting MT requests, received either electronically or via hard copy.
  • Sales Order Fulfillment: Fulfilling and transacting Sales Orders and Service Transfer Orders.
  • Packout: Shipping Responsibilities to Sterigenics and internal-plant transfers.
  • Packing System carts, FRUs and kits. Responsibilities
  • Monitor team-member performance (safety, quality, performance, attendance) and **escalate issues to management as needed**.
  • Training: Cross-train or mentor others in areas of expertise (as needed). Must learn and comply with training guidelines and act as a Deputized trainer for the staff. Participate in training meetings and provide training plans for employees to ensure job rotations.
  • Reports: Create and distribute daily warehouse reports that include performance to plan, quality issues, and equipment issues. Provide detailed end-of-day reports not covering only direct areas but also an oversight/engagement with other buildings.
  • Establish goals for each functional area and coordinate job rotations to enhance the efficiency and productivity of material handlers.
  • Prepare and present weekly warehouse data during weekly warehouse management walk-throughs. Present established KPIs and affectively identify additional KPIs.
  • Support various Lean Manufacturing initiatives that involve a warehouse-based team.
  • Review and disposition discrepant material. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
  • Review existing operational and process discrepancies in the warehouses and provide technical expertise to improve procedures. Identify non-active, slow-moving parts, communicate with planning teams for product disposition, and establish effective material rotations and turns.
  • Follow all corporate, regulatory, established DOP, WIs, safety, and production policies and procedures and maintain an accident- and CAPA-free environment.
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record.
Qualifications
